Standard Terms & Conditions
- The
Standard Terms and Conditions, as outlined below, are
applicable to all functions held at White Water Lodge
and are deemed to be binding upon the person making the
booking (the Organizer) upon confirmation of the
provisional booking by payment of the deposit.
- Events
quotes are valid for 14 days.
- In order
to confirm a provisional booking, White Water Lodge
requires a 50% deposit of the amount quoted, payable
within two weeks after your provisional booking has been
made. Should the Organizer cancel, in writing, 45 days
prior to the date of the function, White Water Lodge
will refund 50% of the deposit provided that the date
can be made available to other clients. Any
cancellations thereafter will result in the full deposit
being forfeited.
- The
Organizer shall advise White Water Lodge no later than 5
days prior to the function date of the final attendance
figure. White Water Lodge shall not be obliged to adjust
the final attendance figure within 5 days of the
function and late cancellations or reductions will be
charged for in full.
- All
outstanding accounts must be settled in full on
completion of the function. On prior arrangement with
the Lodge, the bill may be settled within 7 days. Please
note that any invoices that the authorized signatory has
not signed off will be deemed an accurate account of
goods consumed. This settlement must be done via credit
card payment or bank transfer. Cheque payment will not
be accepted.
- Interest
shall accrue on any portion of the function fee not paid
on due date: at a rate equivalent to 2% above prime
overdraft rate as charged and certified by White Water
Lodge’s bankers (whose status as such need not be
proved). The interest shall be calculated on a
compounded basis from due date of payment until date of
receipt of payment.
- No
beverages are included in the function fee, unless
otherwise specified.
- White
Water Lodge does not take any responsibility for any of
the Guest or Organizer's belongings (including gifts) or
any injury, damage or loss suffered by any persons. The
Organizer accordingly indemnifies White Water Lodge
against any claim arising out of the loss or damage to
any such belongings and the Organizer waives any claim
that it may have.
- The
Organizer is responsible for any damages to White Water
Lodge property and shall pay the amount due on receipt
of written request therefore.
- All
function sheets, which stipulate sequence of events,
menu choices, beverage choices and accounts procedures,
décor, staffing and any additional detail pertaining to
the event must be approved and signed off 14 days prior
to the start date of the event by the authorized
signatory.
- We will
endeavor to fulfill requests for specific rooms,
although this cannot be guaranteed.
- White
Water Lodge has the right to cancel any booking
forthwith and without any liability on its part in event
of the following: damage or destruction of the allocated
rooms by fire or any other causes. Any shortage of
labour or food supplies, strikes, lockouts, industrial
unrest or any other causes beyond the control of the
Lodge, which may prevent it from performing its
obligations in connection with any booking. In these
circumstances, every effort will be made to accommodate
the booking in another establishment in consultation
with the client.
